available exclusively through manecolabs.com.

dreamgazer. the pedal partners signature shoegaze reverb.

dreamgazer encompasses vintage charisma reminiscent of the rack units that shaped the sound of the early shoegaze scene. finally, the essence of 90s shoegaze captured in a pedal.

(slow)dive into the dreamlike depths of nostalgic ambience with dreamgazer’s three unique reverbs, specifically designed for shoegaze, by shoegazers.

dreamgazer is the only effects pedal used on shoegaze band violet oscillation's 'silk.'

modes

blossom

maybe, just maybe our favourite.

a unique reverse reverb algorithm designed to submerge your signal. a rising envelope blossoms into an ethereal encompassing reverb. unlike vintage rack units, our algorithms are adjustable, with the sample rate knob controlling the time & fidelity of the effect. the pinnacle effect for shoegazing & dream pop music.

reverse

a nostalgic shoegaze reverse reverb effect.

a guitar effect long associated with shoegaze guitar tone, this is our perfect reverse reverb - rich, with adjustable timing.

shallower

designed specifically for use before fuzz & distortion. a lo-fi ambience reverb achieved by running the signal through parallel all-pass filters.

features & controls

soft nostalgia

for ethereal bliss, blend dreamgazer’s reverbs with our built-in sweetener:  ‘soft nostalgia’

made for dreamlike tone, soft nostalgia is a multi-voiced chorus, that when blended with dreamgazer’s reverbs, creates an ethereal effect utilised by shoegazers since day one. in a world first, this modulation is available for use with not only dreamgazer's forward reverb, but its two reverse reverb modes.

sample rate

a unique feature of maneco labs’ pedals. adjusting the sample rate knob as sound is playing creates swirls. blissfully spirally. a rare glitch effect similar to the vintage gems of our shoegaze secrets series. sample rate controls the frequency operation for the whole pedal. lower sample rates allow for more lofi & nostalgic sounds, touching on the early ages of digital technology. lowering this control also slows down the whole effect for dreamy meditations.

blend

full wet reverse reverbs.

each mode in dreamgazer can be blended to be 100% wet {effected-signal only} which is a requirement of the genre {says we}.

12 bit

did we mention that dreamgazer is 12 bit? authentically lofi. the gems of our shoegaze secrets series tend to be somewhere between 8-16 bit. so, this is the sweet spot. an essential part in creating a completely unique effect pedal that in essence captures sonic memories.

shoegaze engineering

to avoid the shortcomings often associated with modern dsp pedals & canned solutions {thin & sterile sounds} dreamgazer is precisely engineered at each stage. signal-wise there’s an analog path with pre-emphasis, low pass filtering, compression, before any digital processing. this precise engineering is what is lacking from modern pedals & is a key part of the authentic sounds dreamgazer creates. by avoiding the use of modern dsp & canned solutions, features like analog modulation & variation of the global sampling rate are achieved.

first ever front-of-chain reverb

dreamgazer is the first reverb pedal designed to be at the front of your chain. this is great for creating shoegaze music & vast walls of noise. that’s not to say dreamgazer won’t work elsewhere in your chain {middle, end, wherever} we just enhanced the pedal for front-of-chain use as that’s how we use reverb the most.

design

each dreamgazer is authentically engineered by maneco labs to pedal partners' specification. maneco is our talented friend in uruguay. a sonic engineer with over twenty years experience, maneco is a genius when it comes to creating vintage inspired effects, with extensive knowledge.

artwork & layout designed by pedal partners. featuring our dreamy aesthetic we are known for, each dreamgazer has been lovingly realised by our small team of shoegazers.

that’s dreamgazer. full of blissfully ethereal reverb sounds we wanted on our very own shoegaze pedalboards for our shoegaze bands violet oscillation & abstract in sound. the reverb we always looked for, but could never find. the perfect answer to the question we get the most: how to sound shoegaze?

dreamgazer reverb pedal is on pedalboards around the world & users have reported the dreamgazer pedal is one of the best guitar pedals they’ve tried, noting ease of use & exceptional build quality.

power: 9v centre negative, 250ma max

More of the same
Format: Kindle
I haven’t read X-Men comics in years, but decided to dive back in as a supplement to all the Marvel Cinematic buzz. The plot seems like standard X-Men fare. The weakness of the comic medium, particularly for characters like the X-Men, is the holding pattern of the status quo that the characters are constantly suck in. I’m not sure if this series will deliver a clever twist on it yet. The dynamic they are setting up with the downtrodden Sentinel manufacturing town is interesting, as is the implicit aspiration of the X-Men to replenish the land itself. I am enjoying the team composition and the gorgeous art. They decided to crucify Wolverine again and it looked cool as ever. Juggernaut’s costume, too, is incredibly drawn.

Great new beginning
Format: Kindle
This story hits all the right notes for a 1st issue, with new mysteries and new characters. Love the team, with stalwarts like Beast, Wolverine, and Cyclops. Looking forward to more!

Krakoa is gone, but a new era begins!
Format: Kindle
I was pleased to see this was not a reboot but a continuation in the aftermath of the Fall of the House of X. MacKay certainly started off this new run on the right foot, ending with intrigue and introducing potentially new big bads. Excited to throw my money at Marvel in the months to come.

FROM THE ASHES… ?
Format: Kindle
As a longtime comics enthusiast and certainly a faithful fan of Marvel’s mightiest man, there’s something left to be desired of the 70s into 80s era of X-MEN that marked its genius. Chris Claremont is legendary in his scope and his indelible style that helps make the X-Men something of flesh and bone that jumped off the page. Unfortunately that hasn’t been properly passed, and the torch hasn’t landed in the hands of creatives who can really capture that spirit. It’s hard to recognize any of these characters, or connect with their situation. This group of X-Men and their mission (whatever it is) are uninteresting, uninspired and lacking any authenticity. Interestingly written, the art has some textured, but the story isn’t engaging. I really wanted to like and support this “all-new, all-different” direction, but I can’t. This is not for me.

Revenge for a fallen emperor, redemption for a fallen warrior
Format: Kindle
The crimson empire saga is the story of kir kanos, last of emperor Palpatine's crimson clad imperial guardsmen. It is a story of revenge and redemption, as over the course of the trilogy Kanos grows and changes in ways he'd never have expected. I did especially like his changing relationship with Mirith Sinn, and how her arc is a fitting mirror to his own. I also liked the villain of the first series. Jax, and I wish he had stuck around for the rest of the trilogy. The rest of the villains throughout the trilogy are far less memorable than jax, but I suppose that's the problem when you make sequel to whats unseemly a self contained story. Of the three series contained here, the first series is by far the best. It's quite self contained, and any knowledge of the universe at the time is explained quite well. It's also the simplest, Kanos wants Jax dead, and Jax wants Kanos dead. The second series is abit of a mess, with an overly complicated plot and a good deal of unseemly wasted page count on the random side characters that don't advance anything. In particular I'm thinking of the hutt character, as well as the mystery hooded figure who doesn't actually come into play at any point in the saga. Perhaps he comes into play in some later star wars story, but in this it reeks of a dropped plot line. The third and final series is a worthy sequel to the first although the scenes with Han solo also seem unnecessary. I did like the ending of the saga, even though I would have referred a bit of a more definitive ending in terms of certain character relationships. The art of the saga get progressively better with each series. In the first series it's still reasonable good, but some of the faces and body proportions are bit weak. By the third it's really good if standard comic art. The fight scenes are well done throughout, and the ship battles are a great to see. In conclusion, I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good revenge story. Don't worry about the context of this in the greater star wars saga, the most pertinent information is explained well enough, in my opinion. As long you have seen the star wars movies and remember who the emperor is, your good.
