Ultra-Low Profile 2-Person Wedge-Style Rooftop Tent

The BDV Duo is iKamper’s best-selling wedge-style roof top tent, designed for adventurers who value efficiency, durability, and versatility. With a closed height of just 7" (17 cm), it’s one of the slimmest RTTs available, offering better clearance for parking, off-roading, and improved aerodynamics.

Built for fast deployment, the BDV Duo’s wedge design allows for quick setup, while multiple ladder access points (driver’s side, passenger’s side, or rear) provide flexible entry. The wrap-around T-track system lets you mount essential gear like skis, traction boards, or storage solutions, while optional top-mounted crossbars give you additional carrying capacity for items like bikes or SUPs.

Designed for four-season comfort, the BDV Duo features a 2.75” (7 cm) insulated polyfoam mattress, blackout 300gsm poly-cotton canvas, and a DWR-coated ripstop rainfly for complete weather protection. With an 85.5” x 54” (137 x 217 cm) sleeping area, the BDV Duo comfortably fits two people, providing a compact footprint with room to stretch out.

Whether exploring remote trails or setting up at your favorite spot, the BDV Duo delivers unmatched versatility and reliability—compact, rugged, and ready for anything.

Features

Comfortable Mattress

The iKamper BDV Duo hard top tent is perfect to comfortably fit two adults. As mentioned, it comes with a playfoam mattress, basically unique in the RTT world except for other iKamper tents. It is a 9-zone, 2.75 inches thick insulated polyfoam mattress, you can literally feel the comfort and how the mattress absorbs your weight allowing you to sleep like a rock.

Besides the mattress, another "comfortable" feature is the fact that opening and closing the tent literally takes less than 60 seconds. Being a wedge tent, just pull it up, or shut it down, and you're ready to sleep or to go!

On top of this, the iKamper BDV is built by hand in their headquarters in South Korea, where the quality control and manufacturing process are top notch. This is one of the highest quality roof top tents in the world, and they make sure every step of the process is near to perfect, so you get an excellent tent. As a matter of fact, their attention to detail and improvement, brought them to create the new 9-zone mattress, which is hard to match in the overlanding industry.

4-Season Roof Top Tent

It’s a 4-season roof top tent, with a durable floor made of insulated honeycomb aluminum, ideal for even the coldest winter. The exterior shell is made of FRP, with a rocky black finish, anti-scratch and UV resistant. The canvas a breathable 300gsm poly-cotton material, with a black-out interior to help you sleep even better. Plus, it comes with a waterproof rainfly, in case it starts raining.

If you decide you want more ventilation, this RTT allows you to open all three sides, left, right and back. The windows are very big, so airflow is excellent. At the same time, during colder months, the thickness of the canvas is good enough to protect you during the colder winters.

Another great thing is having the option of using the ladder on any side of the tent, right, left or back, meaning it's easy to get on or off even if your rig has awnings or other accessories. Plus, you can even move the ladder when you are inside the tent. Hooking it to the sides of the BDV isn't complicated, and the ladder isn't as heavy, so you can switch from one side to another in case you need to do so.

Fits 2 People With Ease

The tent has a footprint of 89” x 69”, which means it’s suitable for larger vehicles such as 4Runner, GX470, or trucks with taller bed racks or truck bed caps. That said, the footprint itself, as stated before, is perfect for two adults. As to the height, when open it’s 55.25”, quite a bit more than other tents.

Perhaps one of the most impressive things about the iKamper BDV Duo is that when closed it’s only 7”, which won’t allow you to leave much inside of it, but at the same time such a low profile allows you to park almost anywhere. Say goodbye to problems with parking your vehicle and tent inside a garage, or covered parking lots.

When fully open, the BDV will sleep two adults without any issues, when closed it'll let you fit your vehicle in many tighter places. And on top of all that, it gives you the option of adding additional cargo and accessories to either the sides of the tent, or even over it! It has slats that go from side to side, with a channel between them, where you can safely secure accessories, tie down straps, or even install solar panels. All in all, this roof top tent becomes a solid cargo carrier when closed.

FAQs

iKamper BDV Duo FAQs:

Will the BDV Duo fit a smaller SUV, such as Subaru Outback?

Ideally, being a larger tent, around 89” long, you’ll want a bigger vehicle, such as a Toyota 4Runner, a GX470, or a truck with a tall bed rack or a bed canopy. That said, it can be mounted onto smaller SUVs, just make sure there isn’t too much overhang at the front of back, and be aware that the tent is 89” long, it will pop out from the rack, and it can be noisy. As most hardshells, they are preferably mounted over larger and longer vehicles, but they can work on smaller SUVs too. Just be mindful of dimensions, weight, and looks.

Is the iKamper BDV Duo compatible with my roof rack?

Most likely the answer is yes. Mounting the iKamper BDV Duo to any rack is possible. It comes with mounting brackets and hardware, so it can be easily attached to platform racks, bed racks or cross bars. Just make sure the bars or slats on which you mount the tent are between 32 to 48” apart.

Also, it’s important to note this tent weighs 150 lbs, meaning you need a roof rack with a dynamic weight capacity (when the car is in motion) of at least 150 lbs.

Can I leave things inside my BDV Duo?

It’ll be hard. Sheets you can, perhaps a sleeping bag, but definitely not a pillow. The BDV Duo is just 7” tall when closed, that’s one of the slimmest if not the lowest profiled roof top tent in the world. That means you won’t be able to leave much inside of it. However, what you lose in cargo space, you gain in aerodynamics, less wind resistance, and more importantly total height of your vehicle to fit into parking lots or garages.

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

A good read
Format: Kindle
A good read, just fluffy cuteness, no antagonism. I like all the characters. It could have used another round of editing however, glanfds being one error that cracked me up, and my personal pet peeve was that the author kept using the word fill instead of feel, which I promise you are not interchangeable haha, but it's definitely better than the majority of books I read on here mistake-wise.

amazing
Format: Kindle
Knot the Bride was a fantastic read! The characters were all amazing and well-developed. It was easy to like them all. Sophia, Luca, Nick, and Gavin were all perfect for each other. It was such a charming story that had me hooked the entire time. I did wish there were POVs from Luca, Nick, and Gavin but it was still an amazing book without it. I am excited to read the next book in the Willowside Omegaverse series! This is definitely a must-read for fans of omegaverse romance!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

3 Star Read,
Format: Kindle
This book wasn't bad, but wasn't my cup of tea. It's highly disappointing because the storyline is so original. There is no real conflict or resolution, so the entire thing feels flat. As a lover of omegaverse books, I know there is a ton of variety out there, and ov is really up to the author. But this one is weird. Omegas have multiple scent glands all over their bodies and go into week long heats every month. Alphas have knots in the middle of their shaft instead of the base, and the knot doesn't always swell, no explanation of when or why. It doesn't engage at all when the mouth is in play. I also didn't enjoy the author's writing style. Each paragraph is only 1 or 2 sentences long, and the entire book reads very stacato. The conversations are stiff and unnatural feeling. Everything is very repetitive, both in word choice and in thought. The same thing is repeated 3 or 4 times over a single page, multiple times over. I ended up doing so much skimming. The first 50% of the book is all slow burn, and the last 50% is almost straight mediocre spice. This wouldn't have been all bad if the grammar and spelling errors didn't start at the exact same time. Tongue is repeatedly misspelled in the middle of the spice.

Cozy Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
This is the true definition of Cozy Omegaverse. LA wedding coordinator meets her pack at the location for a couple’s destination wedding. Low angst because they are scent matched high heat with heats and knots. Everything you love about this genre with very little anxiety. Simply a fun experience to read and a book I will comeback to when I’m in a slump. I simply love reading this book
