Codiaeum KL ‘Gold Sun’, also known as a Croton, is a bold houseplant prized for its striking golden-yellow and green leaves. This compact variety brings a burst of tropical sunshine indoors, making it a natural focal point for any bright room. Crotons are known for their vivid variegation, and ‘Gold Sun’ lives up to its name with luminous tones that glow when placed in strong light.
Plant Care
Light: Loves bright, indirect light and can even handle some direct morning or late afternoon sun. Too little light will dull the golden colour.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy. Water when the top layer feels dry.
Temperature: Prefers warm rooms between 18–26°C and should not drop below 15°C. Keep away from draughts.
Potting: Use a well-draining mix with good aeration. Our A Sandy Loam mix is a perfect choice.
Hot Tips: Rotate the plant regularly so all sides get good light and colour evenly. Mist-free humidity or a pebble tray will keep foliage lush.
Pet Friendly: No – toxic to cats and dogs.
