FAQ
How long does it take a Longan tree to bear fruit?
Seed-grown Longan usually fruits in 5–7 years under warm, frost-free conditions. Seeds give you a hardy taproot and unique flavor variations.
Can I grow Longan in a pot or indoors?
Absolutely. Start in a 1-gal pot, up-pot gradually, prune annually, and move indoors when temperatures drop below 40°F (4°C).
What temperatures can Longan tolerate?
Optimal growth occurs above 60°F (16°C). Protect young trees from frost with frost cloth or by relocating containers indoors.
