At this length, the weight will cause them to curve toward the ground. The new shoots are erect and a beautiful soft green. The leaves unfold as the stem emerges. It is normal to see darker spots appear on the petiole over time. Zamioculcas zamiifolia has good water reserves in its stems and tuberous rhizomes. It is therefore sensitive to excess watering and it is important that its substrate dries thoroughly before watering it again.
